How is RevShare commission calculated?

Your players' net gaming revenue multiplied by your percentage, every month they remain active. Net gaming revenue is what players lose after bonuses, payment fees and, in regulated markets, gaming duty are deducted.

What net revenue per player should I assume?

Ask your account manager for the figure the casino actually sees in your market, rather than guessing. It varies enormously by GEO and by traffic source, and it is the input this projection is most sensitive to after retention.

Does this account for negative carryover?

No. If a month goes negative and your contract carries losses forward, real earnings will be lower than this projection. TopStep Partners operates a no negative carryover policy on standard RevShare agreements, so a negative month is zeroed rather than carried.

The percentage is not the whole deal

Two revenue shares at the same headline rate can be worth very different amounts, because the base they are calculated on is not standardised. A 45% share of a heavily-deducted net revenue figure can pay less than a 35% share of a lightly-deducted one. Bonus costs are usually the largest deduction and the one that varies most.

The second clause to read is negative carryover: whether a losing month is wiped or carried forward into the next one. It is one line long and it can be the most expensive line in the contract.
